A licensed professional with a unique combination of construction and design expertise, bringing to the table excellent technical and leadership skills. Aaron is a Professional Engineer with over 11 years of design & construction management experience within the public works and commercial industry. From land use studies and master planning to design services and construction management, Aaron has successfully performed all project roles on large-scale, high profile projects throughout his career. He understands the need for practical designs which can save existing improvements and ultimately project expenditures.
As a reconstruction specialist, Aaron has an abundance of experience retro-fitting new improvements to complement the existing conditions. In 2014, Aaron employed a $40,000 cost savings approach through value engineering on the Spring Creek Parking Lot & ADA Retrofit project for the Elko County School District. Due to his sound principles and work experience, Aaron was able to pin-point value engineering measures that enabled the School District to receive the savings as a refund. “I have been fortunate in my career to take place in significant reconstruction projects. I take that experience and apply innovative techniques and cost saving measures whenever applicable.” Aaron has a long and reputable track record of designing and managing complicated, time intensive projects. In 2014, Aaron master planned and designed $14 million of mass grading, roadway and underground utility infrastructure improvements for a 325 acre Planned-Unit Development which is encompassed 360 homes with 125 acres of commercial property. One of Aaron’s 2012 accomplishments came from his design and construction management of a $3.4 million Airport project, constructed with 80 personal in a 21 day operation window.
Aaron’s career has been comprised of Design-Build Engineering, which has allowed him to be the onsite Construction Manager and/or Quality Assurance inspector on 85% of his design projects to-date. Construction costs totaling over $55 Million in infrastructure installed in Nevada & California. “Everything looks good on paper. Watching my designs being built has allowed me to truly understand the meaning of economically constructible designs.”
One of Aaron’s most recent honors came from being named by the American Society of Civil Engineers the 2015 New Face of Engineering which recognized him as one of the Top Ten Civil Engineers (30 & under) in the NATION! He has successfully designed, permitted and managed projects administered by the FAA, the Federal Government (Nevada Air National Guard, Nevada Army National Guard), EPA, Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA), NDOT, NDEP (BWPC, BSDW, BAPC), NDF, BLM, Tahoe Regional Planning Agency (TRPA), Tahoe Transportation District, Elko County, Lander County, Humboldt County, Pershing County, Eureka County, Washoe County, Esmeralda County, Douglas County, City of Elko, City of Carlin, City of Fernley, Carson City, City of South Lake Tahoe, City of Reno, City of Sparks, RTC and various private entities.
